Khalid Abdul Fatah Da'ud Mahmud Al Mashadani, aka, Abu Shahed is a big fish because he was the head of Ansar al Sunnah(per Brigadier General Bergner at ABC News) a spin off of Ansar Al Islam.  He was Al Qaeda's Media Chief and put together those horrific videos of Americans and Others getting their heads sawed off!

Ansar al-Sunna is an outgrowth of Ansar al-Islam [Defenders of Islam], a group with ties to Iran and which administration officials have linked to al-Qaeda.[2] Initially operating under the moniker Jund al-Islam (Soldiers of Islam), Ansar al-Islam grew out of the September 2001 unification of several militant Islamist groups which had taken root in the mountains of northern Iraq along the Iranian border.

 

From Gobal Security Al-Zarqawi was named a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) on September 23, 2003.  The Zarqawi Network, also known as Jama'at al Tawhi wal Jihad  and Tanzim Qa'idat al- Jihad fi Bilad al-Rafidayn, was designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and a SDGT on October 15, 2004.
