Medved's Guest Confirms Bosnia's Al Qaeda

Michael Medved's guest, Thomas E. Woods author of 33 Questions About American History You're Not Supposed to Ask was talking about how the biggest scandal in the Clinton Administration was his support of Muslims that he advised them to not "compromise, to not settle and to fight for what they wanted. So much did Clinton and his administration supported the Muslims that he help transport Radical Mujahideen to Kosovo to help them.  Apparently Clinton thought this would help curb anti-American sentiment in the Muslim World.  Now per Thomas Woods there is an destructive Al Qaeda presence in Europe.  Remember my last Prediction of a couple days ago?  I have stumbled onto another Inspector Inspector ClouseauClauseau moment of by following my nose and listening to New Media and reading postings in the Blogosphere....
Too weird huh?  I have done a little research to elaborate on this issue

The Kosovo Liberation Army: Does Clinton Policy Support Group with Terror, Drug Ties?
From 'Terrorists' to 'Partners'Reports on Islamic Terror Links
The KLA's main staging area is in the vicinity of the town of Tropoje in northern Albania [Jane's International Defense Review, 2/1/99]. Tropoje, the hometown and current base of former Albanian president Sali Berisha, a major KLA patron, is also a known center for Islamic terrorists connected with Saudi renegade Osama bin-Ladin. [For a report on the presence of bin-Ladin assets in Tropoje and connections to anti-American Islamic terrorism, see "U.S. Blasts' Possible Mideast Ties: Alleged Terrorists Investigated in Albania, Washington Post, 8/12/98.]
The following reports note the presence of foreign mujahedin (i.e., Islamic holy warriors) in the Kosovo war, some of them jihad veterans from Bosnia, Chechnya, and Afghanistan. Some of the reports specifically cite assets of Iran or bin-Ladin, or both, in support of the KLA. To some, "mujahedin" does not necessarily equal "terrorists." But since the foreign fighters have not been considerate enough to provide an organizational chart detailing the exact relationship among the various groups, the reported presence of foreign fighters together with known terrorists in the KLA's stronghold at least raises serious questions about the implications for the Clinton Administration's increasingly close ties to the KLA:
"Serbian officials say Mujahideen have formed groups that remained behind in Bosnia. Groups from Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Chechnya are also involved in Albanian guerrilla operations. A document found on the body of Alija Rabic, an Albanian UCK member killed in a border crossing incident last July, indicated he was guiding a 50-man group from Albania into Kosovo. The group included one Yemeni and 16 Saudis, six of whom bore passports with Macedonian Albanian names. Other UCK rebels killed crossing the Albanian frontier have carried Bosnian Muslim Federation papers." [Jane's International Defense Review, "Unhealthy Climate in Kosovo as Guerrillas Gear Up for a Summer Confrontation," 2/1/99]
"Mujahidin fighters have joined the Kosovo Liberation Army, dimming prospects of a peaceful solution to the conflict and fuelling fears of heightened violence next spring.. . . . Their arrival in Kosovo may force Washington to review its policy in the Serbian province and will deepen Western dismay with the KLA and its tactics. . . . 'Captain Dula', the local KLA commander, was clearly embarrassed at the unexpected presence of foreign journalists and said that he had little idea who was sending the Mujahidin or where they came from; only that it was neither Kosovo nor Albania. 'I've got no information about them,' Captain Dula said. 'We don't talk about it.' . . . American diplomats in the region, especially Robert Gelbard, the special envoy, have often expressed fears of an Islamic hardline infiltration into the Kosovo independence movement. . . . American intelligence has raised the possibility of a link between Osama bin Laden, the Saudi expatriate blamed for the bombing in August of US embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam, and the KLA. Several of Bin Laden's supporters were arrested in Tirana, the Albanian capital, and deported this summer, and the chaotic conditions in the country have allowed Muslim extremists to settle there, often under the guise of humanitarian workers. . . . 'I interviewed one guy from Saudi Arabia who said that it was his eighth jihad,' a Dutch journalist said." ["U.S. Alarmed as Mujahidin Join Kosovo Rebels," The Times (London), 11/26/98]
"Diplomats in the region say Bosnia was the first bastion of Islamic power. The autonomous Yugoslav region of Kosovo

4. Yossef Bodansky( Director of the House of Representatives Task Force on Terrorism )- "The mujahideen established close relations with the key clans from the Drenica area in central Kosovo, the birthplace of the UCK, including Suleyman Selimi, "the Sultan," who comes from this area and is commander in chief of the UCK forces inside Kosovo. In these operations the mujahideen have already demonstrated their fearlessness and all-out commitment to the Muslim population." "It was not until 1995 that the Clinton administration was forced to start pursuing the Islamist network in the Balkans. Not quite a month after the Dayton accords had been signed in November 1995, an influx of Iranian arms came into Bosnia with the apparent tacit approval of the administration, in violation of U.N. sanctions. While publicly pressing Bosnian President Alia Izebegovic to purge remaining Islamist elements, the administration was loath to confront Sarajevo and Tehran over their presence. Islamist infiltration of the Kosovo Liberation Army advanced, meanwhile. Bin Laden is said to have visited Albania in 1996 and 1997, according to the murder-trial testimony of an Algerian-born French national, Claude Kader, himself an Afghanistan-trained mujahideen fronting at the Albanian-Arab Islamic Bank. He recruited some Albanians to fight with the KLA in Kosovo, according to the Paris-based Observatoire Geopolitique des Drogues.
Controversial Relationship
By early 1998 the U.S. had already entered into its controversial relationship with the KLA to help fight off Serbian oppression of that province. While in February the U.S. gave into KLA demands to remove it from the State Department´s terrorism list, the gesture amounted to little. That summer the CIA and CIA-modernized Albanian intelligence (SHIK) were engaged in one of the largest seizures of Islamic Jihad cells operating in Kosovo.
Fearing terrorist reprisal from al Qaeda, the U.S. temporarily closed its embassy in Tirana and a trip to Albania by then Defense Secretary William Cohen was canceled out of fear of an assassination attempt. Meanwhile, Albanian separatism in Kosovo and Metohija was formally characterized as a "jihad" in October 1998 at an annual international Islamic conference in Pakistan. "

Mohammedanism is an Age Old Threat

People who believe that you can talk Diplomacy with these Jihadists dreaming and dying for the establishment of a World Wide Caliphate are IGNORANT & Clueless.  Why not just pick up a History Book and key in to the fact that in the Matter of 100 years this Blood Thirsty, Misogynistic and "Infidel" hating Mohammedanism Jihadists established their "Religion of Peace" from Saudi Arabia to Iran to the Balkans to the Pyrenees to Africa to India and Indonesia.  How do you think they accomplished this?
See Mohammed and Mohammedanism http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/10424a.htm
"After Mohammed's death Mohammedanism aspired to become a world power and a universal religion. The weakness of the Byzantine Empire, the unfortunate rivalry between the Greek and Latin Churches, the schisms of Nestorius and Eutyches, the failing power of the Sassanian dynasty of Persia, the lax moral code of the new religion, the power of the sword and of fanaticism, the hope of plunder and the love of conquest — all these factors combined with the genius of the caliphs, the successors of Mohammed, to effect the conquest, in considerably less than a century, of Palestine, Syria, Mesopotamia, Egypt, North Africa, and the South of Spain. The Moslems even crossed the Pyrenees, threatening to stable their horses in St. Peter's at Rome, but were at last defeated by Charles Martel at Tours, in 732, just one hundred years from the death of Mohammed. This defeat arrested their western conquests and saved Europe.
In the eighth and ninth centuries they conquered Persia, Afghanistan, and a large part of India, and in the twelfth century they had already become the absolute masters of all Western Asia, Spain and North Africa, Sicily, etc. They were finally conquered by the Mongols and Turks, in the thirteenth century, but the new conquerors adopted Mohammed's religion and, in the fifteenth century, overthrew the tottering Byzantine Empire (1453). From that stronghold (Constantinople) they even threatened the German Empire, but were successfully defeated at the gates of Vienna, and driven back across the Danube, in 1683."

  • "Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. When change is absolute there remains no being to improve and no direction is set for possible improvement: and when experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. In the first stage of life the mind is frivolous and easily distracted, it misses progress by failing in consecutiveness and persistence. This is the condition of children and barbarians, in which instinct has learned nothing from experience."

Senator McConnell and the MRAPS or Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Military 4 wheelers

    FPI Cougar HE in testing
    FPI Cougar HE in testing
I heard Mitch McConnell on Laura I's show.  In speaking of the Democrat's shameful attempt to show they are worker bees by staging an affront to the Big Chuck & Houlihan all night movie fest.   In passing the Senator mentioned "good things" like MRAPs in the bill that died.  From Global Security Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) are the armored vehicles that have a V-shaped hull puts the crew more than 3 feet off the ground and deflects explosions. It was designed to withstand the underbelly bombs that cripple the lower-riding Humvees.  I recently learned about this and apparently the Pentagon has balked at the idea cuz of the cost and because they thought we would not be in Iraq for so long.  However they have requested them for the Iraqi National Forces.  Well now after several years they will finally give them to US Troops but it is tied to the Democrat's Defeatest Resolutions.  Here are two articles on them

Al Mashadani extra extra Al-Senator Reid read the good News!

Congrats to Hugh Hewitt on the General Petraeus interview yesterday. This Al Qaeda "Media Emir", al-Mashadani catch, a big big Cat Fish in Iraq is most like due to Iraqi tips as implied in the Washington Times article.  Also the Multi-Nations Forces in Iraq site I have been plugging is reporting on this too "Cyber Islamic State of Iraq foreign-led ruse"

.....past two months, U.S. forces have killed or captured 26 al Qaeda senior operatives, but every month, nearly 60 to 80 foreign insurgents enter the country, he added. Most foreign operatives in Iraq came from Saudi Arabia, with jihadists from Syria, Egypt and Pakistan also common.
The move by coalition forces to continue to put pressure on the al Qaeda network in Iraq is inhibiting the Islamist terrorist organization from developing a national movement from within the country, Adm. Smith said.

Army Brig. Gen. Kevin J. Bergner, spokesman for the Multinational Force in Iraq, said at a press conference in Baghdad yesterday that the information gathered from al-Mashadani revealed that he was the conduit between al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and non-Iraqi operatives in the country.

The White House trumpeted the capture as an example of success from President Bush's troop-surge plan, and the new U.S. military plan in Iraq.

White House press secretary Tony Snow said that this month coalition forces have captured a top al Qaeda security man in Mosul and killed an al Qaeda cell leader, Abu Jurah, in Baghdad. He called those accomplishments "an example of the kind of intelligence we are beginning to get now from locals about al Qaeda activities."

With the Iraq strategy dependent on the upcoming September report on how the surge is working, the White House is stepping up its public relations effort to tout successes such as captures and killings. Mr. Snow took time to repeat some of Gen. Bergner's presentation at the daily White House press briefing.

"I'm not sure that the American public gets an opportunity to see a lot of this, and I think it's important to do it," he told reporters who wondered why the double-barreled approach.

House Minority Leader John A. Boehner, Ohio Republican, criticized Democratic leaders for their attempt to force the Bush administration to pull out of Iraq.

"Had the majority been successful in forcing a precipitous withdrawal from Iraq earlier this year, Mashadani would be free and hatching plots to kill innocent people today," Mr. Boehner said. "This is a great victory for the troops, and it should remind all of us that they are fighting in the right place, at the right time, and for the right reasons. Al Qaeda made Iraq the central front in the global war on terror, which is why we must confront them there — not just for the safety and security of the Iraqis but for the American people, too."

Al Mashadani Al Qaeda's News & Media Director Caught. Senators Let us WIN now!

    Al Mashadani
Khalid Abdul Fatah Da'ud Mahmud Al Mashadani, aka, Abu Shahed is a big fish because he was the head of Ansar al Sunnah(per Brigadier General Bergner at ABC News) a spin off of Ansar Al Islam.  He was Al Qaeda's Media Chief and put together those horrific videos of Americans and Others getting their heads sawed off!

Global Security.org  defines  Ansar Al Islam here
From Middle East Intelligence Bulletin. Ansar al-Sunna is an outgrowth of Ansar al-Islam [Defenders of Islam], a group with ties to Iran and which administration officials have linked to al-Qaeda.[2] Initially operating under the moniker Jund al-Islam (Soldiers of Islam), Ansar al-Islam grew out of the September 2001 unification of several militant Islamist groups which had taken root in the mountains of northern Iraq along the Iranian border.

From Gobal Security Al-Zarqawi was named a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) on September 23, 2003.  The Zarqawi Network, also known as Jama'at al Tawhi wal Jihad  and Tanzim Qa'idat al- Jihad fi Bilad al-Rafidayn, was designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and a SDGT on October 15, 2004.

Command spokesman Brigadier General Kevin Bergner Khaled Abdul-Fattah Dawoud annmounced that Mahmoud al-Mashhadani aka Abu Shahid, was captured in Mosul two weeks ago.
Khaled Abdul-Fattah Dawoud Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, aka Abu Shahid

Who is this Terrorist with multiple names?  He is a close associate of Abu Ayyub al-Masri, the Egyptian-born head of al-Qaida in Iraq, and a go-between for Osama bin Laden and his deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri.
Per Brigadier General Bergner from the Guardian

    • "Al-Mashhadani is believed to be the most senior Iraqi in the al-Qaida in Iraq network," he said. "In fact, communication between the senior al-Qaida leadership and al-Masri frequently went through al-Mashhadani."
    • According to the General al-Mashhadani is the co-founder of an organisation called the Islamic State of Iraq.
    • "The Islamic State of Iraq is the latest effort by al-Qaida to market itself and its goal of imposing a Taliban-like state on the Iraqi people," Brig Gen Bergner said.
    • In internet postings, the Islamic State of Iraq has said its leader is Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, of whom little is known, and cited al-Masri as its minister of war.
    • Brig Gen Bergner said al-Mashhadani had told interrogators that al-Baghdadi was a "fictional role" created by al-Masri and that an actor was used for audio tape speeches posted online.
    • "In his words, the Islamic State of Iraq is a front organisation that masks the foreign influence and leadership within al-Qaida in Iraq in an attempt to put an Iraqi face on the leadership of al-Qaida in Iraq," he said.
    • Al-Mashhadani was a leader of the militant Ansar al-Sunnah group before joining al-Qaida in Iraq two and half years ago, the brigadier general said. He served as the al-Qaida media chief for Baghdad and was then appointed its media chief for the whole country.
    • Al-Qaida in Iraq was proclaimed in 2004 by Jordanian-born Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who led a group called Tawhid and Jihad, believed to be responsible for the beheading of several foreign hostages.
    • Al-Zarqawi was killed in a US airstrike in Diyala province in June 2006 and was replaced by al-Masri.
    • The degree of control and supervision by Bin Laden's command structure of the Iraq branch has been the subject of debate, with some private analysts believing the foreign-based leadership plays a minor role in day-to-day operations.
    • However, the US military has released captured letters suggesting that the foreign-based leaders provide at least broad direction.
    • Al-Qaida in Iraq is better organised and has better relations with the core al-Qaida leadership since al-Masri took over from al-Zarqawi, according to the Iraqi government.
    • "To further this myth, Masri created a fictional head of the Islamic State of Iraq known as Abu Omar al-Baghdadi," he said.
    • "To make al-Baghdadi appear credible, al-Masri swore allegiance to al-Baghdadi and pledged to obey him, which is essentially pledging allegiance to himself since he knew Baghdadi was fictitious and a creation of his own," he said.
    • "The rank and file Iraqis in AQI believe they are following the Iraqi al-Baghdadi. But all the while they have been following the orders of the Egyptian Abu Ayyab al-Masri."
    • Voice recordings purporting to be from Baghdadi have appeared on the Internet, although Bergner said he had been played by an actor. He did not refer to any video clips.
    • Bergner said Mashadani was al Qaeda's "media emir" for Iraq.

    • "In his words, the Islamic State of Iraq is a front organization that masks the foreign influence and leadership within al-Qaida in Iraq in an attempt to put an Iraqi face on the leadership of al-Qaida in Iraq," Bergner said.
    • He said al-Mashhadani was a leader of the militant Ansar al-Sunnah group before joining al-Qaida in Iraq two and half years ago. Al-Mashhadani served as the al-Qaida media chief for Baghdad and then was appointed the media chief for the whole country.
    • Al-Qaida in Iraq was proclaimed in 2004 by Jordanian-born Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who led a group called Tawhid and Jihad, responsible for the beheading of several foreign hostages, whose final moments were captured on videotapes provided to Arab television stations.
    • Al-Zarqawi posted Web statements declaring his allegiance to bin Laden and began using the name of al-Qaida in Iraq. Al-Zarqawi was killed in a US airstrike in Diyala province in June 2006 and was replaced by al-Masri.
We could win this War if the Democrats were such scammers trying to turn the Iraq War into a Failure!  Why do this?  It they succed in turning a US Victory into a Failure using the force of the Media like Walter Cronkite did wiht the TET Offensive then no President in the future will ever have the guts to fingt an Offensive War again.  The Congress and Media will have succeeded in Neutering the Office of the President and in turn the US Military!  What Scum live in Washington living off of Americans!  What si the Latest on American successes see CentCom:

Al Qaeda Terrorist & US Soldier killer Nailed! Xtra Xtra! Iraqi National tips US to High Value Target!

An earlier tip from News 10 out of Syracuse was a bit cryptic about the High Value Target our 10th Mountain Division nailed in Iraq. I dug around and found the original source on Centcom. Indeed a local Iraqi tipster helped us nail a Very High Value Target and head of an Al Qaeda Network that is believed to have kidnapped 2 US Soldiers in June! This Terrorist also kills Iraqi Citizens. How this for an "Epiphany" for Joe Biden and all those in Washington who want us to Lose this War! It is so obvious they want a Vietnam type Failure as then the US Military will be effectively Neutered and no future American President will ever fight an offensive War again. That is their Plan...How about that for an Epiphany Joe Biden!

    Title:

TIPSTERS LEAD TO CAPTURE SOUTH BAGHDAD'S MOST WANTED TERRORIST, CACHE

    Release Date:
    7/10/2007
    Release Number:
    07-01-03P
    Description:
AL-DHOUR, Iraq - With two well-timed phone calls, Iraqi civilians made some Soldiers' day July 9.
The first tipster called Troop C, 1st Squadron, 89th Cavalry
Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) out of Fort Drum, N.Y., and alerted them to a cache south of the village of Al-Dhour, Iraq, south of Baghdad.
The troop responded, located the buried weapons, and was only five minutes into the process of digging them up when they got another call.
A man claimed he had the 2nd BCT's top high-value target and would deliver him to coalition custody. The man and Capt. Adam Sawyer, Troop Ccommander, agreed on a pickup site.
The Soldiers hastily re-buried the cache and moved out, and when the vehicle arrived, they stopped it and took the most wanted man and two other men into custody.
Some of the Soldiers were still able to see the cache from their
vantage point - and were surprised to see a civilian pickup truck stop there and begin hastily loading the weapons into the bed of the truck.
They engaged the vehicle with an M-240 machine gun, and the men tried to flee, but the Troop C Soldiers detained them all - and called an explosive ordnance disposal team to destroy the weapons.
Sawyer a native of Reading, Penn., was jubilant about the
    operation.
"All of this was possible because of sources we've developed,
through local-national engagements and working with the residents of the area," he said. "It's our work with the people in these areas, our relations with them, paying off."
The primary target is allegedly responsible for shooting down an AH-64 helicopter in April 2006, the
abductions of two Soldiers in June 2006, and complex attacks on patrol bases and terrorist acts against both Coalition Forces and Iraqi civilians.
Additionally, he is believed to be the leader of an al Qaeda
network, known to prey on the general public through intimidation and murder against those resisting
compliance to the AQI demands and decrees.
One of the detainees had been wounded in a previous engagement, and was taken to a coalition hospital for treatment.
The other six are being held for further questioning.

Prophetic American Anesthesiologist who has a yet to be released book on Medicine & Terrorism in the USA

An American Physician from San Diego who has written a prophetic book entitled that I do not it has been released yet but advertised on Amazon.(HTdebbieschlussel)
"Jihad and American Medicine: Thinking Like a Terrorist to Anticipate Attacks via Our Health System"
    • Review are here Editorial Reviews
"Dr. Dorin sounds the alarm on two critical and related fronts. First, he details the recognized current safety failings of our medical care system. Alone worthy of a read. Then, thinking far beyond the box, he presents scenarios by which our dedicated and fanatical Jihadist enemies might exploit those big chinks in that medical care safety armor. It's thoughtful and thought-provoking. A must read for anyone who is or might ever be a patient. And, that means every American." - Robert Kotler, MD, FACS Clinical Instructor, UCLA

      Book Description
State-of-the-art counter-terrorism techniques, insights into modern medical practice, medical errors, and disaster prevention all intersect in this groundbreaking book by Adam Dorin, M.D., an anesthesiologist and medical director across 15 years. Dr. Dorin shows us why our healthcare system may be the next Ground Zero for terrorism, and how many opportunities there are for terrorists to infiltrate the sytem. He offers a history of medical and healthcare-related serial killers, showing how they got inside the system to murder relatively easily, and he offers a detailed look at the profound problems which already exist in counterfeit and tainted medicinal products, as well as descriptions of biological, chemical, and nuclear terrorism that could be used against our healthcare system. Most importantly, Dr. Dorin presents in this work a detailed blueprint for safeguarding our system, and preventing medical terrorism from ever taking place. In tackling largely hidden but potentially deadly issues such as the failures of security at hospitals and surgical centers, Dr. Dorin's unique book offers the first indepth public expose and loud alert to the risks and gaping weak spots in our healthcare system. Written simply and clearly, this work should interest all readers concerned with terrorism and the ways they might become victim to it. But this reading will also interest and inform leaders and employees in the security, law enforcement, and medical fields.

Bombastic Syringe Detonating UK Doctors of Jihad want a Caliphate

Apparently Kafeel Ahmed and/or perhaps Dr. Abdulla left suicide notes but the contents have not been released yet.  There is spectulation that these Bombastic Syringe detonating Sunni Doctor Mengeles were in contact with Al Qaeda.  See India Times.
Kafeel Ahmed, the Indian engineer who allegedly drove a blazing jeep into the Glasgow airport, had left a suicide note at his house, a media report said amid claims that he had links with a senior al-Qaeda operative.
The 27-year-old from Bangalore was allegedly radicalized by Hizb ut-Tahrir,
a radical Islamic political movement that seeks 'implementation of pure Islamic doctrine' and the creation of an Islamic caliphate in Central Asia. The group's aim is to resume the Islamic way of life and to convey the Islamic da'wah to the world. The ultimate goal of this secretive sectarian group is to unite the entire ummah, or Islamic world community, into a single caliphate. The aim is to bring the Muslims back to living an Islamic way of life in 'Dar al-Islam' [the land where the rules of Islam are being implemented, as opposed to the non-Islamic world] and in an Islamic society such that all life's affairs in society are administered according to the Shariah rules.  Global Security.org
the extremist group which the British government tried to ban two years ago, a media report said.
Shiraz Maher, a former member, claimed that Ahmed came under the group's influence in 2004 while he was doing research at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, The Sunday Times reported.
"A suicide note was found at the house near Glasgow where Ahmed had been staying since April," a security source was quoted as saying.
It said Kafeel Ahmed, who is fighting for his life in hospital, was so badly burnt that his mobile telephone is said to have melted into his body.
Ahmed knew one of the terror group's most high-profile bomb makers in Europe, convict terrorist Abbas Boutrab, when he was planning to target airliners, The Observer reported quoting senior security sources.
Also, at least one of the suspects being quizzed over the alleged plots to set off car bombs in London and Glasgow, was recently in touch with the Osama-bin Laden's terror network in Iraq, media here reported .
The development has fuelled a theory that the failed attacks were designed as a farewell to former British Prime Minister Tony Blair "to punish him" for his role in Iraq

More details about the UK Physicians who Specialized in Death by "Syringe" Bombs

More on the Killer and Pysician Ring Leader for the Syringe Jihadi Bombers from

Dr. Bilal ABDULLA was born in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire  and spent his infant years in Britain while his Iraqi father, Talal, was training to be a doctor in the early 1980s.
The family moved back to Baghdad where they were part of the privileged Sunni Muslim elite under Saddam Hussein. His father worked as a Rheumatologist and one of his cousins became a professor of French literature at the Sorbonne in Paris.

Abdulla was devoutly religious and, according to one family member, would not even permit his mother to take off her headscarf in front of him. His knowledge of the Koran was exemplary and he could recite long passages. But he appeared to be no violent extremist.
Entitled by birth to a British passport, he came to Cambridge in 2001 to improve his English and rented a flat in Chesterton Road, near where an uncle lived.
"He was polite and never mentioned politics to us. He liked to joke a lot," said the uncle, who does not wish to be named.
His nine-month spell in England coincided with the 9/11 Al-Qaeda attacks on America. He returned to Iraq to study at Baghdad University's medical school, and within 18 months Saddam Hussein was toppled and coalition forces took control.
Abdulla marked himself out as a fierce opponent of the occupation. His family's businesses and property in Anbar province had been destroyed during the invasion; and acquaintances say he became further incensed when his best friend was killed in fighting in Falluja in early 2004.
Abdulla's Baghdad tutor, Professor Ahmed Ali, claims he became difficult to control. "He didn't care about his studies. He only cared about the resistance . . . Many times in the class he interrupted to talk about the mujaheddin. I thought he was crazy."
Abdulla sailed through his medical exams. Ali says the university – which was under pressure from the Iraqi resistance – was forced to give him good marks because it was the "only way to get him out".
With this degree Abdulla returned to Cambridge in 2004 to study for the General Medical Council's professional and linguistic assessment board, a test that would enable him to work as a doctor in the UK.
While in Cambridge, the fortunes of his family in Iraq grew worse. His father fled from Baghdad after being intimidated by Shi'ite militiamen.
.....Kafeel Ahmed, now hovering near death in the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, certainly knew Abdulla in Cambridge.
Ahmed was born in Banga-lore, India, in 1979. His parents, both doctors, travelled a great deal through their work, so he and his younger brother, Sabeel, lived with an aunt and attended school with a young relative called Mohammed Haneef. He and the brothers became very close. When they went on to university, Haneef and Sabeel studied medicine while Kafeel studied engineering.
Last week an imam who runs the mosque near the Ahmed family's home said the brothers had joined Tablighi Jamaat, a strict Islamic missionary and revivalist movement.
After obtaining their medical degrees, Sabeel and Haneef sought work in Britain while Kafeel took up a research post at Anglia Ruskin University, which has a campus in Cambridge.

Shiraz Maher, a former Cambridge University student, saw Kafeel come under Bilal Abdulla's sway there.

Maher had come to know Abdulla well after meeting him the city's Abu Bakr Siddiq mosque. Maher said: "At the time, we were all extremists and . . . Bilal liked the fact that the British and Americans were getting a bloody nose in Iraq."
According to Maher, Kafeel shared a flat in Cambridge with a local activist from Hizb ut-Tahrir, a radical Islamic political group. It was through this connection that he came to meet Abdulla in 2004.
Maher said: "Kafeel always looked up to and listened to Abdulla and what he had to say. By the time I left Cambridge, Abdulla and Kafeel were best of mates. In the study circle that we used to hold in the Islamic academy, Abdulla very much used to take the lead and he was always the one asking the questions."
At the time Kafeel was working with a research team designing an inkjet to print tactile maps for the blind. A fellow researcher, Snir Dinar, an Israeli, said Kafeel rarely socialised with the group: "Kafeel was a Muslim so he wouldn't join us if we ever went for a drink after work. We knew very little about his lifestyle – except that he always went to the mosque on Fridays."
Sabeel and Haneef, who were working together at Halton hospital in Cheshire, made several visits to Cambridge. Kafeel introduced Sabeel to Bilal Abdulla and they, too, hit it off. Last week Channel 4 News quoted an unnamed friend of the two men saying: "Sabeel and Bilal were like clowns, loud and funny, cracking jokes all the time."
Both Sabeel and Haneef then moved on to work in Liverpool, and last year Haneef applied for a job in the the oncology department of the Gold Coast hospital, 60 miles south of Bris-bane, Australia.
According to Australian authorities, Sabeel attempted to follow him, applying for a post through an Australian government website. He was turned down for lack of experience; he is also said to have failed to meet the necessary language requirements. He stayed on in Liverpool while working at hospitals in Cheshire.
Bilal Abdulla was also on the move. He passed his GMC test and obtained a one-year post last August at Inverclyde Royal hospital in Greenock, Scotland.
He applied through the computerised Medical Training Application Service, which hires doctors without an interview.
"People applied but we had no idea what we were getting," said a senior doctor based in west Scotland. "The system took no account of references and there was no opportunity for previous employers to comment on a doctor's ability or performance."
Before starting the post, Abdulla called to say that he would be two weeks late. Sources at the Inverclyde Royal claim he was in Pakistan at the time.
"There were some problems with a visa and he was about two weeks later getting here," said a hospital source. "There were calls from him about the delay and he was in Pakistan at the time." If so, investigators will want to know if he met Islamic extremists there: Pakistan is known to have been a training ground for Al-Qaeda terrorists.
Abdulla spend eight months at the Inverclyde Royal hospital before moving to the Royal Alexandra hospital in Paisley, where he appears to have been less than devoted to his work.
Colleagues complained that he spent too much time flicking through Islamic websites on the hospital computers. "It was difficult to motivate him. He was definitely distracted while at work," said one.
He was keen to encourage other Muslims. One colleague said he handed her A Brief Illustrated Guide to Understanding Islam. "We spoke briefly and I told him I had a Muslim background. The next time we met he handed me the booklet," she said. The booklet was from Pakistan.
Abdulla's family say his guiding mentor was Sheikh Ahmad al-Qubeisi, an outspoken Baghdad cleric who has praised suicide bombing on his weekly Dubai television show.
One of Abdulla's British-based uncles said: "When Ahmad came on television he would say that he knew him. He called him his best friend. I think he brainwashed him."
Speaking from Baghdad, Qubeisi last week declined to say whether he knew Abdulla, observing only that: "I am a figure known by millions of Muslims around the world, some of who may be good, others could be bad or evil." Qubeisi revealed, however, that late last year had received an unusual telephone call from the UK. It was from a man with joint Iraqi and British nationality, he said, although he declined to identify him.
"An Iraqi man called me from England," Qubeisi said. "He asked me whether it was right for him to avenge his people in Iraq and carry out attacks against London." Qubeisi said he did not sanction an attack because the man should have entered the country as a "fighter".
He said: "Wars are manly with rules and regulations. Either you enter the country as a fighter, and fight them under such circumstances, and then you will be regarded as a shaheed [martyr]. But if you entered the country under any other circumstance . . . then your acts will not be considered as jihad."
Did Britain's GCHQ monitor the call to Qubeisi? It was the sort of communications "chatter" that was leading MI5 to conclude that Al-Qaeda – particularly its Iraqi offshoot – was planning attacks in Britain.
Three months ago The Sunday Times revealed that Britain's Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre had concluded that Al-Qaeda planners were preparing for an attack in the UK when Tony Blair stepped down.
A report said: "While networks linked to AQ [Al-Qaeda] core pose the greatest threat to the UK, the intelligence during this quarter has highlighted the potential threat from other areas, particularly AQI [Al-Qaeda in Iraq]."
In the same month Canon Andrew White, a British cleric working in Baghdad, says he met "a very bad man" who he was later told was "closely connected to Al-Qaeda". The man gave White a cryptic warning, telling him: "Those who cure you will kill you".
This now appears to have been a message warning of an attack by doctors.White passed on the general warning but not the exact wording. The security services were aware of
the general threat, and MI5 had the names of some of those who would be arrested in the past nine days on its watch lists. But they were not under 24-hour surveillance because they were not regarded as serious threats.

UK Doctors are makers of the "Syringe" Bomb

I come from a long line of Physicians and am one myself.  I have never ever heard of Syringes being used as Detonators!  What Monsters.... The Story from India's Deccan Herald

"The London bomb plot failed because a medical syringe used as part of the firing mechanism caused a malfunction, a media report says."

The London bomb plot allegedly planned by a cell of doctors failed because a medical syringe used as part of the firing mechanism caused a malfunction, a media report today said.
Quoting non-classified documents reviewed by it and confirmed by multiple sources, ABC News reported that both mobile telephones initiated firing mechanisms rigged inside a Mercedes E 300 parked several yards from the front door of Tiger Tiger nightclub failed despite multiple calls to the cell phones designed to remotely trigger the devices.
Fuel-air bombs, whether professionally made or rigged by novices, are notoriously difficult to get to perform as intended, ABC said, adding that is why they are so rarely used.
Despite some surface similarities to vehicle born improvised explosives used in Iraq, these incendiaries are essentially different.
The Iraqi bombs, the report said, are explosives linked to gases either in the idea of increasing their effectiveness or spreading a chemical cloud.
The London and Glasgow devices were not explosives at all, but firebombs. Had the fuel-air bombs successfully ignited into a superhot fireball filled with roofing nails, casualties were almost a certainty among the 500 or so patrons who partied late at the 1,700-person occupancy nightclub that perhaps best symbolises London's vital nightlife scene.
Instead, a vigilant ambulance crew on an unrelated call spotted a plume of cold propane from a slightly opened window of the car that contained patio fuel cylinders in the foot wells behind the driver and passenger seats, ABC said quoting sources.
When a bomb technician in a 90-pound Kevlar suit walked down to the vehicle to examine it, he also found a firing system rigged inside the car and another inside its trunk along with four jugs of gasoline.
The technician successfully disarmed the devices. A second Mercedes rigged with a similar incendiary device was parked several hundred yards away.
Several experts on improvised explosives tactics suggested that the second device might have either been meant for patrons who escaped the first or to target rescue workers.
Within 14 hours after the plot failed, the same two men believed to have planted the bombs in London attempted what appears to have been a suicide incendiary attack on the doors to a terminal at Scotland's Glasgow Airport.
That attack failed too. The vehicle failed to reach the doors, and its contents failed to ignite even after one of the occupants tried to douse the car in gasoline, setting himself on fire in the process.
