"My Country "Tis of Thee" vs My Senator 'Tis of Thee

The song "America" aka "My Country, 'Tis of Thee," is my favorite song has it has a way of strumming the strings of my Heart while the Star Spangled Banner is revelry for my Soul! The melody comes from the British national
anthem, God Save the Queen. The same melody is the national anthem of Liechtenstein and has served as an anthem for several other northern European countries because of its Majesty. I have heard it said that Music has the effect it does on Human Beings because it is God's creation while preoccupied with his Children and Doodling away in Heaven!... This Melody, must have been doodled while especially preoccupied by our Creator thus, it is so loved by humans of all races and creeds.
The lyrics to "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" were written in 1831 by Reverend Samuel Francis Smith of Boston's Park Street Church and as we all know Francis Scott Key wrote our National Anthem. Therefore, I, not so talented Francis, feel compelled to write this on the Day the Upper Chamber of Congress comes up with this misguided Immigration Bill!
"My Country,'tis of thee" 'Tis is a contraction of "it is"! It is a Country of people who came here to be Americans! People, who maintained their beliefs and Creeds but are grafted onto the founding Vine of Liberty and Freedom and became Americans. Yes, "E Pluribus Unum" or "From Many One" is but one of the many reasons that America is the Economic, Democratic and Sole Super Power of the World!

This immigration bill coming out of the Senate undermines our strength. The illegal immigrants have come to America for economic opportunity and have demanded rights from our Government that they are not willing to demand from theirs or earn for themselves by fighting their leaders for it! These people, many who are hard working and many who are not, paid more money to the vile Coyotes guiding them across the borders than the $2000 dollars that can be paid over 8 years which are so called "leaders" have proposed as a fine for coming here illegally. This is in a word Pathetic! No these people are not being grafted onto the Vine of Liberty and Freedom but are attaching themselves to and siphoning off the nectar of this vine which is the birthright for many of us or one petitioned for by many others as provided for by the laws of our country. This Vine of Liberty and Freedom bloomed in the USA because our forefathers and immigrant grandparents cultivated it by hard work and Courage! The seed was a Dream captured in words found in Our Declaration of Independence and the soil is found in our Constitution which our forefathers harvested by toiling with their Sweat and tilling with their Blood!

I can speak freely, because I'm the son of Spanish Immigrants and when my father became a US citizen he was so proud he put on the Same Tux with Tails he got married to my mother in 20 years before! My father and mother braved the rigors of Green Card application because they came to the US on a 5 year Eisenhower Administration Cultural Exchange Visa. They went back to Spain and waited in line for their Green Card because that was the LAW in the 1960's! My father, was a well educated General Surgeon who was serving the good but poor people of West Virginia but that didn't matter. The Law trumped the good he was doing in this Country, good that many native born doctors were uninterested in because the coal mining state of West Virginia was too "backward". Well, we immigrants loved West Virginia's Mountains Mama. I and 2 siblings were "Anchor Babies"! We went back to Spain too returning once my Parents and two older brothers were in compliance with the Laws of a sovereign Country. They came back the right way! The Hispanic display in Los Angeles and other cities was Morally and Legally Wrong! Why don't the illegals do in their country of origin what they do in our great Country! Their lack of gratitude and arrogance makes me ashamed of being a HISPANIC for the first time in my life! Proud to say I'm the son of immigrants and not "colonists"(from Whizbang)!

Today Presidente "the Sly" Fox of Mexico was here in my new home in Utah. Mr. Presidente I see through your double speak and the message is clear, the migration of your citizens is a Reconquista Invasion. At least when Spain conquered the Aztecs, the former tyrants of Mexico, they introduced them to the Wheel, God, Jesus Christ, Guitars, Music, Philosophy and Literature... I welcome those of yours that have come because I'm an American but I also say "No MAS"! In time the 12 to 20 million Illegal Mexicanos and other Hispanos will be grafted onto American Vine. However if we do not Build a Wall the migration will cease to be symbiotic and will become saprophytic as our system collapses from the demand placed on it.

Mr. Presidente, shame on you and your Governmental System for failing its people and mooching off the 20 billion dollars they infuse your country's wallet with every year! You are getting a handout from the poorest of your society! Mexican leaders plant your own Vineyard. If an Al Qaeda terrorist crosses from your side of the border you will suffer too. That 20 billion dollar a year stream of handouts from your ex- patriots will stop because they will be the collateral damage caused by the Al Qaeda Terrorist!

Mr. Presidente do not be a Refried Fool, protect the Goose that lays your Golden Eggs! Don't you see if America bleeds to death by 1000 slashes from Terrorist Attacks Mexico will die too! Do not be foolish Señor President and do not ignore the will of the American people as you do with your people. We will not roll over Señor for we are tough American Gringos!
My Senators, 'tis of thee, sweet job of liberty! The Country is ours and remember our motto "E Pluribus Unum"! This bill is an Et Tu Brutus disgrace! Your constituents are one in that we want a Wall and a Serious Immigration Bill. Remember Liberty gives us the right to Fry you Electoral Style and send you packing to one of the lower levels of Purgatory!

Brain Ross, was Dateline the reporter who was slapped with a Lawsuit by a Greensboro Eye Clinic. Eventually, the suit was dropped but the Dateline and Brian Ross investigative journalistic technique smacks of Entrapment. They hired a Senior Citizen to go in for the evaluation of a Medicare authorized epistemological procedure. The Physician said she was not a candidate but Brain Ross had the patient call the next day to Schedule the Procedure with the gal who does that! People answering the Phone usually are not the most sophisticated folks in an Office or Clinic Practice, as this is usually an entry level position. This was considered fraudulent per Brian Ross and his Head NBC news guy Mr. Lack or at least it is implicitly so!
MSM is worst than the National Enquirer, as the latter are more reliable and their stories as salacious as they are often pan out in particularly when it deals with the Hollywood Star's Love Life! The got the Bradgelina Story Right! Rest my Case!

"After the apology to G.M., the head of NBC News, Michael G. Gartner, resigned and was eventually replaced by Mr. Lack. 'Cataract Cowboys'
The most recent "Dateline" report at issue was titled "Cataract Cowboys" and was broadcast on May 4. It dealt with what it described as unnecessary cataract surgery reimbursed by Medicare.
Toward the end of the segment, an elderly woman with healthy eyes, asked to pose as a patient by NBC, received some conflicting advice from employees of the Greensboro clinic about whether she needed surgery. After a doctor, recorded by a hidden camera, told her that she did not need surgery, she was told by a medical assistant that a doctor did recommend an operation. Then a doctor told her again that she did not need surgery.
Despite that recommendation, NBC had the woman call the clinic the next day and schedule surgery. When she appeared at the clinic, the NBC reporter, Brian Ross, interrupted a discussion of the surgery between her and a doctor. In his narration, Mr. Ross said the woman was only "a few tests and a half-hour away from surgery."
NBC also presented evidence that clinic employees, filling out paper work, had exaggerated the woman's complaints.
Two other people, asked by NBC to pose as patients, were told that they did not need surgery, and the network reported that.
Mr. McDaniel said that NBC had misrepresented the clinic's procedures and that the woman had initiated the scheduling of the surgery even though she had been told twice by the clinic's doctors that she did not need it. Further, he asserted, the woman would never have had the surgery because she would have had to undergo a final "safety net" screening. Accusations by NBC
Mr. Ross did report the clinic's assurance that the safety net procedure would have stopped the surgery. But NBC contends that the confused diagnosis could easily have led an elderly patient to have surgery she did not need. "

About 2 hours ago I was just on the Rush Limbaugh Program, with Mark Bellingham, the substitute for Rush. I was promoting my suggestion for the Bush Administration that a High and Thick Wall protects all People of the Americas and indeed the Occidental World. The USA is the Economic and Democratic Engine of the World which Al Qaeda wants to take out using the Death by 1000 slashes! If Al Qaeda types, who try to blend in with Hispanics Illegals use C4 to take out San Onfre Power Plant creating a Chernobyl type Disaster....
not only will the GOP be in trouble but Mexico will get Nuclear Down Wind Fallout as will the US Southwest! Mexico's economy which is so dependent on Mexican Ex-patriot dollars fueling its economy will collapse because the Migrant Workers will die! Mr. Bellingham agreed! A Great China Type Wall although not full proof makes it more difficult for the Terrorist and will help regularize the border!

The Moors, Christopher Columbus and Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in Spain

The Spanish version of Our Lady of Guadalupe.   Here's another take on this amazing story and why I think the CC is so rich: The origin of the name "Guadalupe" is something of a mystery. It has been suggested that the name is actually a corruption of the translation from Nahuatl to Spanish of the words used by the Virgin to announce herself: the Nahuatl word of "coatlaxopeuh" which is pronounced "quatlasupe" sounds remarkably like the Spanish word Guadalupe. "Coatlaxopeuh" has been translated as "the one who crushes the serpent". In this interpretation, the serpent is Quetzalcoatl, one of the chief Aztec gods, whom she crushed by inspiring the conversion of the natives to Catholicism.

Other scholars have suggested that Juan Diego’s Nahuatl name for Guadalupe was Tlecuauhtlacupeu, “the one who appeared on a rocky summit,” a word that is also homophonous to Guadalupe. Still others say the name was Tecuauhtlacuepeuh, “She who comes flying from the region of light like an eagle on fire.”

A quite different theory is that the name was taken from one of Europe's famous Dark Madonna’s, also known as Our Lady of Guadalupe, whose shrine is found in Extremadura, Spain. This statue of Our Lady holding the Child Jesus, said to have been carved by St. Luke, was a gift from Pope Gregory the Great (590-604) to the bishop of Seville.
As the Muslims swept through Spain in the 8th century, the statue was buried for safe keeping in the earth somewhere in the province of Extremadura. Those who had secured the precious relic however died during the conquest and the statue was lost and forgotten for centuries.

After the overthrow of Moorish occupation, the image was uncovered in an underground cave in the year 1326, subsequent to a vision of Our Lady to a humble shepherd by the name of Gil. The statue was then enshrined in a nearby Franciscan friary next to a river, which the Muslim occupants had named wadi al-lubb (which means “River of the Wolf”). In Spanish this word was pronounced “Guadalupe” and the statue became known as "Our Lady of Guadalupe."
The popularity of the shrine was at its height during the time of the Spanish Conquistadors and the royalty of Spain including Queen Isabella and Columbus, regularly came to the shrine to give thanks to the Virgin for their victory over the Moslems.       Many in the Church believe that this was the fruits promised to Christofer Columbus, a third order Franciscan(lay order)  who was devoted to Our Lord's Mother and visited the Guadalupe Shrine in Spain prior to his historical adventure.  Interesting Shrine in Spain was built after a farmer dug up a statue of the Virgin Mary hidden from the Muslim invaders of Spain centuries before.  Columbus'  flag ship was named in her honor "Santa Maria"    Was this historical Story of Columbus a "A Guadalupe prophecy?"

Names of the ships, Santa Maria, Pinta, Nina  literally translate to "St Mary paints a small woman"-?

Understatnding the Evoulution of the Hispanic Vote and its impact on Border Security!

Political Correctness and the evolution of the Hispanic Vote in the USA is impacting the GWOT or WWIJ(World War on Islamic Jihad) by causing both the Democratic and Republican Parties(see this Puerto Rico Herald 12/2003 article to read about this Political Courtship) to tip-toe around the issue of Border Walls on both the Canadian and Mexican Borders of our Country. The state of Florida's Hispanic vote which in elections past has been overwhelmingly Republican because of the Exiled Cuban has changed because of the large influx of Hispanics from other parts of South America. We all remember the important role Florida played in the last the election of our President George W. Bush, who has had the Churchillian Courage to take to the Islamic Jihadists. The Democrats and it minions making up the Media Wing of the Democratic Party aka MSM has done everything it can to undermine this effort. Globalism, Political Correctness and the quest to win over the Hispanic vote has also undermined this World War on Islamic Jihad. Fear of the "Pete Wilson Effect", its backlash again California Republicans, stemming from his support of 1994's Proposition 187, an initiative that sought to deny illegal immigrants and their children access to virtually all public services, including education, and to require all public employees to report illegal immigrants to immigration authorities, has further complicated this Hispanic Voter issue for GOP leaders, strategist and President Bush.

Hispanics are the fastest growing minority and thus voting block in the USA. Census data show that we Hispanics number 42.7 million (I am the son of immigrants form Spain and am married to Mexican/Irish woman and have a daughter). From 2004 and 2005, our size jumped by 3.3 percent, a spike fueled by 800,000 births and 500,000 new Hispanic immigrants. Blacks represent the second largest minority group, at 39.7 million, followed by Asians, with 14.4 million, according to the census report. It is for this reason that the Bush Administration from its inception has courted the Hispanic vote. Remember early on in August of his first term when Presidents Bush and Fox met in Washington to discuss the Illegal and Border Problem

• Summary: U.S. and Mexican policymakers are rushing to resolve long-standing immigration problems. Guest worker programs are on the table, but the negotiators show a troublesome myopia about the programs' implications. The supposed economic benefits of such programs may prove illusory, and the "guests" may in fact come to stay.

The Presidents discussed three proposals:

• The first, most expansive plan would legalize or give amnesty to some or all of the illegal Mexican immigrants on U.S. soil.
• A second approach would grant guest or temporary work visas for a specified time period, on the understanding that the workers would leave the country when their visas expired.
• Finally, an "earned legalization" program would grant temporary legal status and create a way for individual migrants to earn permanent legalization by fulfilling certain conditions, such as 90 to 150 days of farm labor within a year of receiving a guest visa.

In August, Mexican and U.S. negotiators reached preliminary agreement on proposals involving the latter two concepts. Their plan would bring in guest workers to fill niches in agriculture, hospitality, and food service -- sectors that already employ a large proportion of the illegal Mexican immigrants in the United States. Hispanics are the state's largest minority group, comprising 16.8 percent of the total population of 16 million. They are also a sizable portion of the state's voters. Hispanics make up 11 percent of Florida's electorate, a number that has important implications for the 2004 presidential election. When one tries to analyze Florida's Hispanic politics through lenses ground to the prescription of other states, one comes away with a vision that is decidedly out of focus. Things work differently in Florida. Whereas Latinos are overwhelmingly registered as Democrats in other parts of the nation, in Florida, Hispanics are a pivotal faction in the governing Republican coalition. ......

With dramatic population shifts in the past decade, Florida can no longer be characterized as a suburb of Havana. Today, Cubans are a minority of the Hispanic population -- just 31 percent. The rest are divided among Puerto Ricans (18 percent), Mexicans (13.5 percent), and more than a million Colombians, Peruvians, Nicaraguans, Dominicans, Venezuelans, and Guatemalans (37.41 percent of all Florida Hispanics).
But the majority of Florida's non-Cuban Hispanics are not yet citizens and therefore ineligible to vote. Still, the question remains: As this voting bloc emerges will it vote differently from its Cuban-American neighbors? Right now, Florida's non-Cuban Hispanic population is so diverse that it's difficult to mobilize around a common non-Cuban Latino agenda.
Moreover, even as they grow into their political strength, it's possible, even likely, that non-Cuban Hispanics will share the views of their Cuban-American neighbors. Like the Cubans, a large number of Florida's Hispanics immigrated to the United States because they were fleeing either communist regimes or Marxist guerrilla groups. These include: Venezuelans fleeing the leftist Chavez regime, Colombians who left their homeland because of the violence of the Marxist FRAC, Nicaraguans who left in the 1980s during the rule of the Cuban backed Sandinista regime, and Peruvians escaping from extremely violent leftist groups. Cuban-Americans have reached out to these other anticommunist Latinos in order to form political alliances. It was just such an alliance that elected Republican Juan Carlos Zapata, a Colombian-American, to the Florida House of Representative. Such strong ties between Cuban-Americans and other conservative Hispanic immigrants makes it extremely difficult to developed an alternative agenda among non-Cuban Hispanics.
Even among traditionally Democratic Hispanic groups, such as Puerto Ricans, Republicans have done better in Florida than in any other part of the country. Republican John Quinones, a Puerto Rican, defeated a Democratic Hispanic in a central Florida district heavily populated by Puerto Ricans. While Al Gore received an estimated 52 percent (98,716 to 91,123) of the non-Cuban Hispanic vote in the 2000 presidential election, Governor Jeb Bush easily defeated his Democratic challenger Bill McBride by a 2-to-1 margin among non-Cuban Hispanics in the 2002 gubernatorial contest.

"LIKE THE REAGAN DEMOCRATS in the 1980s and the Soccer Moms in the 1990s, the most sought after vote bloc in the coming decade will be what you might call the Latin Swing -- upwardly mobile Latino voters who are not the loyal Democrats many people assume they are.
Latinos have grown from 2 percent of all voters in the 1980 presidential election to 7 percent of all voters in 2000. In 2004, this number is expected to grow to 9 or 10 percent. Thus Latinos will be on a par for the first time with African Americans as a share of the national electorate. This might be construed as unalloyed good news for Democrats, who still receive a solid majority of Latino votes nationally. But it is not a bloc Democrats can take for granted, as we saw this past November 6.
Michael Bloomberg's victory as mayor of New York was made possible by his splitting the Latino vote with Democrat Mark Green. Exit polls showed he received about half of the Latino vote. Certainly he was helped by the internal battling between Latino leaders and the Green campaign....While Democratic candidates by and large have maintained their overwhelming lead among African-American voters, Republicans have managed to increase their share of Latino voters over the years. In the early 1980s, the average support for Republicans among Latino voters was 18 to 20 percent. In the 2000 elections, that figure had risen to 25 to 30 percent. Nationally, President Bush received 35 percent of the Latino vote......But the main reason is that as Latinos rise on the economic ladder their voting behavior becomes less reliably Democratic.
The exit poll data for the 2000 election are quite revealing on this point. Latino voters with incomes under $ 30,000 voted 31 percent for President Bush; Latinos with incomes between $ 30,000 and $ 75,000 voted 37 percent for Bush; and Latinos with incomes above $ 75,000 voted 46 percent for Bush. As Latinos rise economically they begin to split their votes more between the two parties. This is exactly what happened in the early 20th century with the economic rise of European immigrant groups in America.
The growth of the Latino population has been dramatic in certain key Electoral College states. Latinos have grown in their traditional strongholds of Texas (29 percent of the voting age population), California (28 percent), New Mexico (39 percent), and Arizona (21 percent). But they are also becoming a sizable percentage of the voting age population in states such as Illinois (11 percent), Georgia (5 percent), North Carolina (4 percent), and Oregon (6.5 percent).
Nevada has seen its Latino voting age population grow from 9 percent in 1990 to 17 percent in 2000. This growth has mainly been in Clark County (Las Vegas), where potential Latino voters have gone from 1 in 10 in 1990 to 1 out of 5 today. Because of this growth, Nevada is no longer a reliably Republican state and will likely be a swing state in 2004.
The closeness of the 2000 election in Florida was foreshadowed by the non-Cuban Latino population growth in the central Florida areas of Tampa Bay and Orlando. In 1988, when former President Bush won Florida by more than 20 points, 2 out of every 3 Latinos in the state were of Cuban descent, a solid Republican bloc. In 2000, 2 out of 3 Latinos in Florida were non-Cuban. This fact alone moved Florida into the swing column in 2000.
So why has Texas not followed the example of California in becoming more Democratic as its Latino population grows? A big part of the reason is that Texas voters, across ethnic lines, are more conservative than California voters. A further factor may be lingering hostility among Latinos in California towards former Republican governor Pete Wilson. The success or failure of potential Republican gubernatorial candidate Richard Riordan, who had tremendous success among Latino voters as mayor of Los Angeles, may show whether the "Wilson effect "

"Wilson embraced Proposition 187, the initiative that sought to deny illegal immigrants and their children access to virtually all public services, including education, and to require all public employees to report illegal immigrants to immigration authorities. The message was reinforced with TV commercials, using Border Patrol footage of shadowy figures running across a freeway and the doomsday voice-over: "They just keep coming." Wilson won, and Proposition 187 passed easily but the campaign triggered a great surge of naturalization and voter registration by Latinos, nearly all of them as Democrats. In 1990, 9 percent of California voters were Latinos. Now it's 19 percent."

But an important and neglected difference between the two states is that nearly 45 percent of Latino voters in California live in union households, while in Texas that figure is only 6 percent. Union households are overwhelmingly Democratic. This helps explain how President Bush was able to get 43 percent of the Latino vote in Texas and only 29 percent in California. Unfortunately for Republicans, the same California pattern of union membership among Latinos holds true in Nevada and Florida as well.
All of these factors point to the Latin Swing being instrumental in coming elections. In 2002, Latin Swing voters could decide statewide races in Texas, California, Illinois, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico. Because the Latino vote continues to grow as a share of the electorate, Republicans will need to maintain their upward trend with Latino voters. Otherwise, Latino population growth will simply be a recipe for Democratic gains.
The emergence for the first time of a minority group as a key bloc of swing voters will force candidates of both parties to become more sophisticated and less patronizing in their outreach efforts. It will force the media as well to become better sociologists. For instance, Latinos are often assumed to be monolithically Catholic, when in fact the fastest growing religious group among Latinos is Protestants. Further, immigration is often assumed by the media to be the top concern of Latinos, when in fact the top issues are presently fighting terrorism, education, and the economy.
Political consultants, too, will have to retool to deal with the Latin Swing. Consultants can no longer do a paint-by-numbers ad buy on Spanish-language TV or radio, when Latin Swing voters turn out to be watching primarily English language television.
After the last few elections, American politics has come to seem static and predictable. The emergence of the Latino middle class, or Latin Swing, as a key political bloc is about to change that."

The evolution of the Courtship of the Hispanic Major Minority and its vote has to be understood so that Conservatives can effect a positive influence on our Representatives in both chambers of the Legislature and in the Executive Branch. Our leaders need to inform the world that a High and Thick Wall on the Border will help Protect Mexico's huge influx of Ex-patriot income into their economy(greater than its Tourist and Oil revenues), its legal and illegal workers in the USA, Hispanic Americans in the Southwest and the Occidental World since we are the Economic and Democratic Engine of the World! If some Islamo-Jihadists posing as a Mexican/Hispanic Worker crosses the Border and destroys us by a 1000 slashes the Free World is Doomed! A Wall is good for everyone and it is not Racist it is Smart and this should be the message from our Leaders and all Americans to the World!

Today Rush Limbaugh speaks of Senator Lindsey Graham's Meet the Press program appearance yesterday May 20, 2006 to further bolster this obvious pandering by Politicians. As the son of immigrants I have a perspective that Americans with generations anchoring them to this country may not have and my goal is to get the Conservative base motivated to get our representative government to stop the wholesale looting of our borders. Like most Conservative and even some Liberal Americans I'm worried about this border threat with both Canada and Mexico. The problem with Mexico is double edged with one edge of the sword, the drain on our social systems(wherein they cost from $75k-$100k more than they but, unfairness to those immigrants waiting in line in the legal line) and the other edge consisting of the Al Qaeda type terrorist threat coming across both borders. Al Qaeda Jihadist types can blend in with Mexicans because similar physical characteristics and the Narco-criminal element pervasive in Mexico. It is interesting that a discussion between a legal immigrant like Mark Steyn and Hugh Hewitt, a native American, discusses aspects of the President's feeling regarding immigration that are reminiscent of some of my posted sentiments on the Immigration Debate! In particular I found Mark Steyn's remarks last Thursday on the HH Show about the President and views on NRO see in RED below supportive of my argument:

HH: Meanwhile, the conservative base is at war with itself, between Mark Tapscott, Jim Geraghty, Stephen Bainbridge, The Corner. I'm sure you're following this.

MS: Well yes, I am. I mean, there's been a fascinating discussion on the Corner at National Review this afternoon, which I think is worth...if people haven't seen, it's worth reading about, what it is the President actually feels about this immigration issue. And the argument is made that he actually feels a genuine special bond with Mexican people, and that he doesn't look on them as foreigners in the same way he loos on, I don't know, Beligians or Slovenes as foreigners. And I think that actually is...there's something to be said for that, that that's the idea that's motivating him on this immigration issue, because it's not just at odds with his base, it's at odds with sanity. The idea of willingly embracing, actively embracing a large, specifically bi-cultural identity, I think, is very dangerous. Bi-cultural societies all over the world are the most unstable.

My position only builds and further probes the possible origin of this concept of the President's "special bond with Mexican people", and his not looking "on them as foreigners"... President Ronald Regan was the first GOP leader to recognize the electoral significance of there Hispanic vote

• who created gauzy, feel-good ads that focused on the candidate rather than the issues, promising Latinos that Republicans shared their values of family, personal responsibility and hard work. "It's an insight Ronald Reagan gave me," says Sosa, who has worked on six presidential campaigns. "He told me Latinos are Republican. They just don't know it yet." With Sosa's help, George W. Bush snared an estimated 40% of Latino voters in 2004, a huge jump from Bob Dole's 21% in 1996!

This last article from a great Govenor of a state with many Hispanics who majored in Latin- American studies and is married to Columba Garnica Gallo(who became a Naturalized American in 1987, shortly before George H. W. Bush was elected President) and has three children: George P. Bush, Noelle Bush, and Jeb Bush, Jr. 1/2 Mexican. Ilove Hispanics as I'm 100% Spanish Blood but 100% a US Born Conservative! I want a Tall Thick Wall on the Border that will make it more difficult for Jihadistic Terrorist sand serve as a handicap for these warriors of the WWIJ(World War on Islamo-Jihadists). Sorry to say our Great President sounded very lame when he spoke of the passionate "Tone" and that we are a nation of immigrants! Come on Mr. President what is the DEAL! Except for the sacking the Catch and Release Program is sounds like a Snow Job. Wouldn't Iraq be in better shape if the Border with Syria wasn't so open? Build a wall and sell the plan by stating the truth, that Al Qaeda wants to destroy America because we are the Democratic and Economic Engine of the World. By building a wall Al Qaeda will have to climb hurdles. A nuke will kill Millions of Hispanics, Eastern Europeans legal, illegal and other Americans as well. I feel like Mel Gibson's Wallace charater in Braveheart when Robert the Bruce betrays him after listening to my great President's feckless "refried" window dressing speech on the Border and immigration. I knew a Wall("but they'll dig tunnels under the wall" agrument is a BIG Bush Family Straw-MAN) was out of the question for the Bush Presidential Dynastic Competition with the Adams Family and those of the Clinton Clan! No Pared(Wall) is the solution?! Powder Tracks, moi, was right all along but no one in New Media is willing to Confront the Bush Family with this Reality and their hidden agenda. Beslan is coming to the Old Camino Real of California Alta(aka PCH in SoCal)! I'm the son of Legal Immigrants and now Naturalized US Citizens and do not want mass deportation! I do not think most Wall advocates want a mass deportation. Another Bush family strawman! I'm so bummed out and So disappointed by our Great President! A High Tech Fence is not A Solution. Also Revelations 3:15-16 verse comes to mind as it deals with the concept of being lukewarm! The Christians at Laodicea have long been used as an example of those whose faith became "luke warm" because they put as much trust and faith in their financial wealth as they did in God. They sought security from temporary worldly wealth, while largely forsaking true eternal riches. What did Jesus Christ have to say about that?

• Mexican President Vicente Fox has likened the $2.2 billion double fence proposed for 700 miles of his northern border to the Berlin Wall, a comparison angrily rejected by fence supporters. Throughout history, nations have built walls to keep people in, keep people out or both.

1. Great Wall of China: One of the greatest construction projects in world history, the Great Wall runs, with branches, about 4,500 miles. Large parts of it date from the seventh through fourth centuries B.C. Built of dirt, stone and brick, the wall ranges from 15 feet to 25 feet wide and 15 feet to 30 feet tall with a 13-foot-wide road on top and watchtowers at regular intervals.
2. Berlin Wall: The barrier that separated West Berlin from East Berlin and surrounding areas in the former East Germany from 1961 to 1989 was a series of concrete walls up to 15 feet high topped with barbed wire and enhanced with watchtowers, stationary guns, mines and electrified fencing. Morocco / Western Sahara: The Moroccan Wall is a 1,600-mile system of sand berms and rock walls built in the 1980s by Morocco to control Western Sahara, where tensions continue between Morocco and Polisario Front separatists despite a U.N.-brokered cease-fire. The wall is an earthen mound about 7 feet high fronted by a 23-foot-wide ditch and studded with bunkers, barbed wire, and anti-personnel and anti-tank mines.
4. India / Bangladesh: India has built more than 1,300 miles of a planned 3,034-mile barrier at its border with Bangladesh. The fence will be patrolled by 50,000 officers and key stretches will be electrified. Construction of the $1 billion double fence -- which is 10 to 12 feet high, floodlit and razor-wire filled -- began in 1986 and will be done next year. It may extend near a demilitarized zone separating the two countries, to enclose Indian villages on the border.
5. Israel: Israel has built about 170 miles of the barrier separating it from the Palestinian-dominated West Bank. Another 140 miles are planned or under construction, and 155 more are under review. The barrier, a wire fence in some places and concrete wall in others, has additional enhancements such as barbed wire, electricity, sensors, watchtowers and sniper posts. Supporters say it has been routed to foil terrorists and critics say it unfairly incorporates Palestinian land into Israel.
